-Persebaran flora & fauna di Indonesia dibagi jd 3: Asiatis (paparan sunda); Australis (paparan sahul); Peralihan.

-Flora/fauna mudah bermigrasi sehingga terjadi peralihan.

-Flora yg terdapat di Ind d bag barat / paparan sunda = sangat banyak jenisnya dibatasi garis WALLACE

ex : kayu jati, kayu pakis, keruwing (?), cemara, pinus, damar, kayu putih, bunga Rafflesia (flora endemik=hanya terdapat d daerah Sumatera)

-Flora yg trdpt d bag timur dibatasi garis WEBER / paparan sahul (Papua, Maluku) => sama dgn Flora di australia (botswana)

ex : pohon nipah, pohon sagu
